Half of lifetime mental ill health is already present by the age of 14, so prevention targeted at younger people would result in greater personal, social and economic benefits than intervention at any other time in the lifespan.
— Department of Health

50% of adult mental health issues manifest by the age of 14 and suicide is the leading cause of death in young people. Existing provision can’t cope and 61% of GP referrals to child and adolescent mental health services are rejected. We’ve developed a safe, cost-effective early intervention which has been proven to stop anxiety escalating. The MeeTwo app encourages young people to help themselves by helping each other. Turning difficult life experiences, into useful advice for someone else who is struggling, increases confidence and builds resilience. MeeTwo is a beautifully simple solution to a complex social problem, but we need your support to scale. If you can help us to help them, you can donate through the home page or email us to start a conversation about funding sources. suzi@meetwo.co.uk or kerstyn@meetwo.co.uk
